Minimundus, Klagenfurt’s Tower of Babel

During my trip to Carinthia, I went to the one of the biggest attraction of Klagenfurt, Minimundus, the miniature world at Lake Wörthersee ! I never imagined I would have been that enchanted by the experience but the avid traveller and curious explorer that I am could not believe its eyes : the world was laying here in front of me…

MINIMUNDUS, Klagenfurt

Welcome to Minimundus, an attraction opened to the world !

I was amazed with the divers nationalities of visitors present that day with me : Chinese, Indian, German, English, Austrian, French, Russian…a wonderful melting pot of people and languages in one place.

The impressive collection regroups approximately 150 models of famous structures, trains and ships from all over the globe. The visit took me to a trip around the world in 2 hours ! The details realised on a scale of 1:25, are absolutely outstanding.

I visited Petra 15 years ago...so I remembered with great pleasure my trip to Jordan.

  1. Oh that is so cool! At first, I was just browsing through the pictures in this post, and I was thinking how cute the castle and chateau looked, then I realized you were explaining they are just models!
