Dinner at Ribouldingue in Paris

I met with French blogger Bouillon de Blog for dinner while I was in Paris and for the occasion we picked Ribouldingue, a super traditional French cuisine restaurant located a few steps away from Notre Dame, in the 5th district of Paris. Around a few bottles of wine and some really interesting dishes, we had a wonderful experience.

The cuisine is traditional, from Grenoble and specialised in fish and “triperie” – offal – internal organs and entrails of animals. Yes, some of the dishes at Ribouldingue are not for the faint hearted but for most all the guests at our table that evening (despite our different nationalities) it was perfection !

Th main courses were equally well presented and delicious. I cannot remember the last time I ate a Brandade de Morue ! Just to think about it I want to have it again for dinner this evening 🙂

And after this very hearty meal, it was time to make space for some yummy sweets…quenelles of chocolate wth cream and almond flakes.

Bookings are imperative as the restaurant is not big and the owner does not push for a second service so you’ll have all time in the world to enjoy your dinner !

Would you be brave enough to try Ribouldingue ? Are you familiar with that kind of french cuisine ?
