Where to eat Oysters in Paris ?

You cannot go to Paris for the weekend and not have oysters, it would be like going to Lyon and not have saucisson !

After a long morning of delightful discoveries, the Fiance took me to Huitrerie Regis, a small restaurant in the 6th district. As the restaurant do not take reservation, we had to squeeze in this tiny room (which can accommodate…maybe 15 seats top max !). I loved the parisian and debonaire atmosphere where eating oysters is as simple as eating a slice of bread.

Huitrerie Regis in Paris - Oysters

Huitrerie Regis is a simple concept of fresh sea food platers opened in front of you. The decor is minimalist with white table cloth, napkins and blue plates. The service is efficient, one would have appreciated a bit more friendliness though…

Who can say know to this beautiful claires oysters from Oleiron !

Fine de claires – number 3 – doz : 18€
Les speciales de claires – number 3 – doz : 36€
Number 3 being my recommendations if like me you are not too keen on big and milky oysters but want texture yet not too big, if that makes sense !

Of course, I highly recommend a glass of Champagne to match this wonderful platter !
